Basic concepts
Get familiar with GitPeek’s design to set up your workspace and navigate with ease.
Workspaces
Workspaces are central hubs in GitPeeks for managing repositories, previews and integrations.
Users signs in with a personal account. Multiple personal accounts can join the same workspace, enabling seamless collaboration on shared projects.
Repositories
Repositories hold all the necessary information to create preview environments.
Each repository is linked to a Git provider, such as GitHub or GitLab, and must include a GitPeeks configuration file.
Previews
Previews are isolated test environments created for your repository’s pull requests, branches or tags. Each preview is built from a specific commit and assigned a unique URL, making it easy to share and test.
Integrations
Integrations enhance GitPeek’s functionality, making it even more powerful. Some integrations, like a Git provider (e.g., GitHub or GitLab), are essential, while others are optional and can be added based on your needs.
