Passkey authentication and 2FA enforcement

GitPeeks now supports passkey authentication using WebAuthn, enabling secure passwordless login and passkey-based two-factor authentication (2FA) enforcement for your account.

🚀 What’s new?

  • Register passkeys (Touch ID, Face ID, or security keys) to your account
  • Use passkeys to log in without a password
  • Enforce passkey authentication for password logins
  • Manage your passkeys in account settings, including adding nicknames and deleting unused keys

🤔 Why did we make this change?

Passwords are often the weakest link in account security. Passkeys provide a phishing-resistant, device-bound authentication method that is easier and safer for users. Enforcing passkey 2FA further strengthens security for sensitive workflows.
